Erica DeMarch, a physical therapist and inventor of the Balance Matters system will be offering a new live webinar to introduce the use of multi-sensory feedback into balance training.  Erica will provide you a step-by-step guide connecting goals, assessment and evidence-based training. Objectives 

  • Expand your exercise toolbox with  new Balance Matters exercises and handouts.
  • Learn progressions for each exercise addressing foot position, speed, type of footpad, head/eye movements and dual task.
  • Connect specific goals with exercises.
  • Connect with other clinicians using the Balance Matters system from around the world sharing ideas and favorite exercises.

You will receive a certificate after passing a 5-question test and course evaluation. You can apply in your own state to utilize the training toward your CEU.
To receive CEU credit most states require a posttest and course evaluation to be completed.
  
Meet the instructor

Erica DeMarch

Erica DeMarch is CEO and Founder of Step and Connect, a start-up company built to improve balance and mobility for people of all ages and abilities. Over 18 years of expertise in the areas of neuro rehabilitation and vestibular led Erica to develop the core product line of the business, the Balance Matters® System. The patented product incorporates multi-sensory feedback targeting the spatial and temporal parameters of movement to improve balance and maximize motor learning. She holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University and is an adjunct faculty member of South College’s Physical Therapy School. Within her local community in Colorado, Erica teaches balance workshops and group exercise classes for older adults and individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
